Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 100 g walnuts
- 150 g hazelnuts, ground
- 4 eggs
- 125 g sugar
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp orange peel, grated
- Margarine and breadcrumbs for the mold
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Finely grind the walnuts and separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites with 2 tablespoons of lukewarm water and 125g of sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold in the egg yolks. Fold in the walnuts, hazelnuts, baking powder, and grated orange zest. Grease a loaf pan with margarine, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, and pour in the nut mixture. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top and bottom heat) on the middle rack for about 40 minutes. Let the cake cool and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
