Walnut oil from Sebastian

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g walnuts, chopped
  • 400 ml rapeseed oil or another neutral-tasting oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 7 days; Total time approx. 7 days 30 minutes

For a bottle of 7.5-1 liter

First of all, I would like to say something about the quantities, as these depend on the size of the bottle you use. Depending on the size of the bottle, you use more or less oil and walnuts in the same ratio. If you didn’t buy chopped walnuts, chop them now. Then you put the chopped walnuts in the bottle and fill it up with the oil. Then you close the bottle and shake it well. Finally, you let the walnut oil steep for a week. Another tip: Add a tablespoon of oil to the dough for a yeast plait to give it a nice nutty note, or add a little of it to a salad and use the nuts too. It’s easy to make and tastes great.
