Warm sandwich with goat cheese

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 150 g goat Camembert
  • 2 tbsp cranberries from the jar
  • 1 small onion(s), red
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 sprigs of thyme
  • 2 slices of farmhouse bread

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 17 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Cut the goat’s cheese Camembert into thick slices and top the bread with them. Scatter the cranberries over the top and grind the pepper. Finely slice the red onion and distribute them on the bread. Sprinkle everything with a few thyme leaves and bake in the oven until the cheese is slightly melted and browned. This takes about 10-12 minutes, depending on the oven. Served with a fresh salad, this bread dish makes a simple, quick, yet delicious dinner or lunch.
