In order not to harm your body every morning during breakfast, you need to know what not to combine with coffee.

Coffee for breakfast is a tradition for many Ukrainians. For some, this drink is simply their favorite, while others simply cannot wake up without it. However, this harmless drink can pose a threat to the body, because coffee cannot be combined with any breakfast.

What is not digested with coffee – most people do not know about it

First, let’s talk about when you shouldn’t drink coffee. And yes, if you are taking vitamins, it is better not to drink coffee or drink it after a fairly long period of time. The thing is that caffeine has a negative effect on the absorption of vitamins and minerals.

Also, coffee should not be combined with alcohol. In addition to the fact that this symbiosis burdens the liver, it is also misleading. A person can overestimate the vigor that coffee gives and underestimate the intoxication of the body with alcohol in time.

What foods should not be drunk with coffee – rules for everyday

No one wants to ruin their day with a mild indisposition in the morning. Feeling unwell can be caused by the wrong combination of coffee with other foods.

Coffee and calcium foods – this combination is especially dangerous for the elderly. Every sip of coffee leaches calcium from the body, which is essential for it. Therefore, if you want to eat a cheese sandwich and drink coffee, it is better to pause between them.

Peas, beans, oysters, poultry, and red meat – these foods are rich in zinc, and zinc is not absorbed in tandem with coffee, which leads to skin rashes and indigestion.

Vegetable products and coffee are bad solutions because the polyphenols contained in coffee prevent beans, soy products, and chickpeas from being absorbed.

However, despite all of this, you can still enjoy coffee with breakfast if you know what foods go well with it.

Combining coffee with other foods – breakfast, and pleasure

  • Berry coffee – goes well with chocolate and mint pastries
  • Natural coffee – suitable for those who like light pastries and fruit for breakfast
  • Coffee with citrus acidity – the best friend for lemon cake or dried apricots
  • Coffee with floral notes – waffles and pancakes with caramel and honey
