Wheel cake

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 375 g flour
  • 125 g cornstarch
  • 3 m.-sized eggs
  • 125 g margarine
  • 250 g quark
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 kg fat

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Make a dough from the listed ingredients (without cooking oil) and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Heat the cooking oil and test the temperature with a spoon (if bubbles rise from the spoon, the oil is hot enough). Either roll out the dough with a rolling pin, use a wheel to divide it into approximately 10 x 10 cm squares and shape them into a bow, or simply form small heaps with 2 teaspoons. Then place it in the hot oil and bake. The pastries are ready when they float to the top. Dust with powdered sugar. You can also add apple pieces, raisins, or other ingredients to the dough as desired. Enjoy.
