Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 sausages (Nuremberg)

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours 10 minutes

If you want to serve something special that doesn’t necessarily look like it, you should try this recipe!

Pour the whiskey (I used a relatively sweet, fruity one, which I didn’t particularly enjoy when I drank it) into a shallow bowl. Cut the vanilla pod in half lengthwise and add it to the whiskey. Pierce the sausages all over with a fork or a needle and add them to the whiskey-vanilla mixture. Let them sit for about 4 hours, turning occasionally. Grill in the traditional way until the desired browning is achieved. You’ll taste a distinct vanilla note, with the whiskey subtle and unobtrusive in the background. Of course, sauces are strictly prohibited!
