White mulled wine jelly

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 600 ml white wine
  • 6 carnations
  • 80 ml lime juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick(s)
  • 1 orange(s), untreated
  • 500 g gelling sugar 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

First, prepare the jars for the jelly. Pour the white wine into a tall saucepan. Then stir in the gelling sugar. Cut two slices from the untreated orange (preferably from the center) and add them to the white wine. Add the remaining ingredients (you can omit the cinnamon if you like) and let it boil briskly for 4-5 minutes. Test for settling. If it’s OK, remove the oranges, cloves, and cinnamon stick. Now fill the prepared jars to the brim, seal, and let stand upside down for about 10 minutes. Then turn them upside down and let cool. I made three jars of jam.
