  • 3 bell peppers, colored
  • 2 large onions
  • 1 tbsp mustard, sweet

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp herbal salt
  • ½ tsp paprika powder, hot
  • 4 sprigs of parsley
  • 3 tbsp wheat beer

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours 35 minutes

Bavarian delicacy

Peel the cooked white sausages and cut into finger-thick slices. Wash and finely chop the parsley. Then make a marinade with the spices, mustard, and beer. Let the white sausage slices marinate for 3-4 hours. Trim the bell peppers and peel the onions. Cut each into pieces (about as wide as the white sausage slices are cut). First, thread a large piece of onion onto a skewer, then alternate between a slice of sausage, a piece of bell pepper, white sausage, a piece of onion, and so on. Make sure that a piece of onion or bell pepper is placed on the skewer at the end (this makes it easier to hold). Place a total of 8 skewers on the skewer. Roast the whole thing for about 10 minutes on a hot grill rack or in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat). Serve hot. Serve with a wheat beer and a fresh pretzel.
