Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 head of white cabbage, approx. 1 kg
- 400 ml vegetable broth, strong
- 100 g herb butter
- 2 tbsp, heaped parsley, fresh, chopped
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 25 minutes
Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Make a cross-shaped cut in the stalk of the cabbage head and eight star-shaped cuts in the entire head. The depth should be two-thirds from the top. Place the head, stalk down, in a pot and pour over the vegetable stock. Cover and place in the preheated oven on the second shelf from the bottom and braise for approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Remove the lid, sprinkle with parsley, and place a little herb butter in each wedge. Roast uncovered in the oven for another 20 minutes.
