  • 500 g flour (wholemeal flour)
  • 300 ml water, maybe a little more if needed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 25 g yeast, fresh
  • possibly grains

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

for 15 rolls

Dissolve the yeast in the water, add the remaining ingredients, and mix. Knead vigorously until a smooth dough forms. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise for about 15 minutes. Divide the dough into approximately 15 equal pieces and shape them into rolls. Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cover with a cloth, and let them rise again. If desired, you can sprinkle the rolls with seeds (linseed, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, or similar). Preheat the oven to 240°C and place an ovenproof dish filled with water inside. The rolls need to bake for about 18-20 minutes.
