Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minute steak(s) of pork
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • some salt and pepper
  • some oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Ukrainian cuisine

Pound the minute steaks very thinly with a meat tenderizer, season with salt and pepper. Coat in flour and beaten egg, and fry on both sides in a hot pan with oil. Serve with any side dish—potatoes, pasta, or grain kasha. Widbyvni can also be made with beef, veal, or poultry.
