Wonder cake for themed cakes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 ml oil, neutral
  • 200 ml liquid (milk or egg liqueur, Fanta, wine, coffee, juice, etc.)
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • some cocoa, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Beat the eggs with sugar and a little salt until fluffy, at least 5 minutes (I use my magic wand for this). Quickly add the liquid and oil while continuing to stir slowly (best with the help of a food processor or a helping hand). Mix the flour with the baking powder and fold in, preferably after sifting. Stir only gently, otherwise the batter will lose volume. Tip: If you prefer a dark batter, you can fold 1-2 tablespoons of cocoa powder into the egg mixture along with the flour. Now pour the batter into a greased and/or parchment-lined dish and bake at 180°C for 40-50 minutes. As always, the exact baking time depends on various factors such as the type of oven, cake tin, cake size, etc.! So do a skewer test.
