Wonderful Tea Time Cake

The perfect wonderful tea time cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Soft butter
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 4 Pc. Eggs
  • 1 Pc. Egg yolk
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Rum
  • 120 g Sifted flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 150 g Ground walnuts
  • 50 g Chopped walnuts
  • 2 tbsp Unsweetened cocoa
  • 100 g Chocolate chips
  1. Mix the butter and sugar with the vanilla sugar until frothy, then add the eggs and egg yolks while stirring. Stir in the cinnamon and rum.
  2. Stir in the flour and baking powder and (the absolute highlight of the cake) add the ground and chopped walnuts. Then carefully stir the cocoa and chocolate chips into the dough.
  3. Fill the dough into a greased Gugl form and put it in the oven (180 ° C top / bottom heat or 160 ° C convection) for approx. 35 minutes. When the Gugl is finished baked, it is essential to let it stand for about 10 minutes, then it can be thrown out of the mold more easily.
  4. To put the icing on the cake for chocolate enjoyment, we donate a chocolate icing and it is simply poured generously over it … it looks very sexy and good to eat. To top it all off, there is a crown made of walnut halves on top and then nothing prevents us … but nothing at all from throwing ourselves on this great piece and just enjoying it.
