Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 100 g rice pudding
- 800 ml milk
- 1 bottle of butter vanilla flavoring or vanilla bean
- 50 g butter
- 25 g sugar
- 2 pinches of salt
- Butter, in flakes
- Cinnamon
- Sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Briefly wash the rice. Bring the milk, vanilla extract or a split vanilla pod, butter, sugar, and salt to a boil. Add the rice. Immediately reduce the heat to low. Let the rice swell, stirring constantly, until it reaches a soft, creamy consistency. Add a little more milk if necessary. Serve the rice pudding on two plates/bowls. Distribute a few knobs of butter on top, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and briefly broil. You can sprinkle chocolate sprinkles on the rice pudding instead of cinnamon sugar—but please do not broil it. Apple slices, caramelized in butter and powdered sugar, or a fruit compote are suitable accompaniments.
