Yakitori – without Skewers
The perfect yakitori – without skewers recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 7 Toes Garlic
- 1 Onion
- 500 g Chicken meat
- 0,5 Apple
- Peanut / sesame oil
- 30 g Ginger
- Mirin or honey or white wine
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 8 tbsp Sake
- 7 tbsp Soy sauce
- 3 Carrots
- 1 bunch Spring onions
- 0,25 bag Peanuts, salted, roasted
- 1 bag Chinese egg noodles
- 1 Zucchini
- 1. Cut garlic + 1 small onion into small pieces 2. Wash the chicken, dry and cut into cubes 3. Salt and pepper the meat and put it with the onions and half of the garlic in, for example, sesame / peanut oil 4. Cut the ginger into small pieces and add the Rest of the garlic, either mirin (6 tablespoons) or honey (1/2 tablespoon) or a dash of white wine (then more sugar), 3-6 tablespoons sugar, 8 tablespoons sake, 7 tablespoons soy sauce, 2-3 tablespoons oil, 15-30 Put grams of ginger and a dash of water in a bowl and mix thoroughly with the hand blender until there are no bits left. Then mix half of the sauce with the already pickled chicken and marinate for at least 20 minutes. (the longer the better). 5. Cut the remaining ingredients (carrots, apple, spring onions, zucchini) into small pieces and grind the peanuts. 6. Separately in 2 pans, fry the meat and carrots, spring onions, and zucchini. Both take about 10 minutes. 7. After boiling for 2 minutes (depending on the egg noodles) add boiling water. As soon as the water boils add the pasta to the water and add the rest of the sauce to the vegetables. 8. Just before the end, mix the pans and add the apple. 9. Done. The peanuts can either be added cold or fried.
