  • 20 g poppy seeds

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Plum-vanilla-poppy seed jam

Sterilize screw-top jars. To do this, place the jars in the oven for 15 minutes at 130°C, for example. Purée the prepared plums in a large saucepan – chunky or very fine, depending on your preference. Halve the vanilla pod and scrape out the seeds. Add the vanilla pod, along with the seeds, poppy seeds, and preserving sugar to the plums and mix well. Bring the plum mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook over high heat for 4 minutes (or as directed on the preserving sugar), stirring well. Test for settling. Pour the jam into sterilized jars while still boiling hot.
