Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Put the flour in a bowl and make a well in the center. Add 1 tablespoon of honey and wait until the yeast has dissolved. Heat the milk to lukewarm and pour it over the yeast. Stir together the milk, yeast, and a little of the flour from the side of the well. Let it rise for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the butter, but do not let it brown. Add the butter, remaining honey, egg, and salt to the flour. Knead everything thoroughly into a smooth dough. Form the dough into a ball and let it rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes. Knead the dough well again and divide it into 3 equal portions. Form each portion into a rope. Place the ropes next to each other and braid them together. Whisk the egg yolk with the cream and brush the rope with it. Let it rise for another 10 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 20-30 minutes.
