Yogurt chicken

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 chicken legs
  • 4 cups of yogurt
  • Butter (for frying)
  • 3 large onions
  • ⅛ liter cream
  • 1 cube of stock
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tbsp paprika powder, sweet
  • 2 tbsp curry

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Mix three cups of yogurt in a bowl and place the chicken thighs in it for one hour. Then, without rinsing the yogurt, briefly brown the pieces of meat in butter. Remove from the pan and place in a pot in the preheated oven. In the pan in which the chicken thighs were browned, fry the finely chopped onions in a little butter until translucent. Add the remaining yogurt, the cream, the stock cube, a little water, salt, freshly ground pepper, paprika, and curry powder. Stir and simmer gently. Pour the sauce over the chicken thighs. Cover and cook in the oven at medium heat for about 1 1/2 hours. Serve with rice.
