Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 egg yolks
  • 300 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 250 ml oil
  • 125 ml water, warm
  • 375 g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 5 egg whites
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • Chocolate glaze

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Beat the egg yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy. Add the oil and water, mix well, then stir in the flour and baking powder. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and fold in the beaten egg whites. Color half of the batter with cocoa powder. Place a spoonful of white batter in the center of a greased and floured 26 cm springform pan, then place a spoonful of black batter on top. Repeat this process until all the batter is used up. Layer the batter one spoonful at a time in the center, not side by side. Bake at 175°C for 50-60 minutes. Cover with chocolate icing.
