Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 5 eggs, separated
- 225 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- ½ bottle of butter-vanilla flavoring
- 125 ml water
- 250 ml oil
- 375 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 jar morello cherries
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder, baking cocoa
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Mix the egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Stir in the butter vanilla extract, water, oil, and flour, along with the baking powder. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff and fold into the batter. Divide the batter in half, adding 2 tablespoons of cocoa to one half. Grease a springform pan and spoon 2 tablespoons of each half into the center. Start with the white part, otherwise the batter won’t “slump” properly. Place a few cherries between each spoonful. Bake the cake at approximately 160°C (320°F) for 50-60 minutes.
