Zucchini casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g zucchini
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 200 g Emmental cheese, grated
  • 5 eggs
  • 200 g flour
  • 125 g diced ham
  • salt and pepper
  • Caraway, optional
  • Paprika powder, optional
  • 1 tbsp fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Peel the zucchini if ​​desired, then grate it. Finely dice the onion and garlic. Mix all ingredients together and season with salt and pepper. If desired, you can also add caraway and paprika. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes. It also works well without preheating, in which case it takes about 40-45 minutes. Tip: For a nice browning, you might want to bake for an additional 5 minutes at the end at 250°C (top heat).
