Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 1 pack of puff pastry from the refrigerated section
- 1 large zucchini
- 200 g ham
- 200 g cheese, grated
- 2 eggs
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 stock cube
- some salt and pepper
- herbal salt
- 1 egg(s), for brushing
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
to serve warm or cold
Peel the zucchini and dice it into small cubes, chop the onion, and sauté it in a pan. Add the zucchini and sprinkle with the stock cubes. Season with salt, pepper, and herb salt. Finely chop the ham and add it. Fry everything thoroughly and then let it cool. Then stir in the eggs and half of the cheese. Roll out the puff pastry and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Spread the filling and roll it up. Brush the strudel with egg and bake in the oven on the middle rack at 170°C (convection oven) for approx. 35 minutes. The strudel tastes good hot or cold.
