5-minute millet porridge with apples and dates

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • ½ cup millet
  • 1 cup water
  • 300 ml milk
  • 2 small apples
  • 1 piece(s) butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 7 dates
  • 1 handful of almonds, sliced

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

vegetarian and quick

Heat millet, water, milk, chopped apples, butter, cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of sugar, if desired, in a saucepan. Bring everything to a boil and blend with a hand blender until creamy. As soon as bubbles form during the boil, remove the pan from the heat to prevent burning. Now add the almonds and the chopped dates. Once the puree has cooled, it’s ready to eat! It can also be prepared the night before for breakfast the next day. It’s filling and gluten-free, making it perfect for weight loss.
