Plum cake with marzipan, plum cake à la Jill with sponge cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g sugar
  • 200 g marzipan paste
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • 150 g butter, soft
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g flour
  • 150 g hazelnuts, freshly ground
  • 1.3 kg plums

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Combine the sugar and marzipan mixture. Beat the vanilla sugar, butter, a little grated lemon zest, cinnamon, and eggs until fluffy. Stir in the flour and hazelnuts. Add the sugar and marzipan and mix. Pour the batter onto a medium baking sheet or into a rectangular dish. Wash and pit the plums, then place them on top. Bake for 50-60 minutes at 175°C. Delicious with vanilla ice cream.
