Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 300 g puff pastry, frozen
- 300 g shallot(s), cut into rings
- 20 g butter
- 100 g ham, cooked, cut into cubes
- 100 g raw ham, cut into cubes
- 1 bunch of chives, cut into rolls
- 100 g cheese (Edam), grated
- 1 egg(s)
- salt and pepper
- nutmeg
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Thaw the puff pastry. Sauté the shallots in the butter for 5 minutes, season with salt and pepper, and let cool. Combine the cheese, egg, ham, and chives and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stack the puff pastry sheets on top of each other and roll them out to a 40×40 cm sheet. Then spread the shallots and the ham and cheese mixture on top and roll them up. Cut into 2 cm slices and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the snails for about 25 minutes at 220 degrees Celsius.
