Banana jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg banana(s)
  • 3 lemon(s), the juice
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 pkt. gelling sugar
  • possibly cinnamon
  • possibly brandy

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Pour water into a sufficiently large pot, peel and chop the bananas. If you want jam with chunks, add all the ingredients to the pot and simmer for about 4 minutes. If you don’t like chunks, first simmer the bananas with the water and lemon juice until a thick paste forms. Then add the gelling sugar and simmer for about 4 minutes. If desired, add cinnamon, brandy, or something similar (the sky’s the limit) to the jam. Pour into jars and seal immediately. Turn the jars upside down for a few minutes.
