Storm

Spread the love

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 meat sausage, ring, good quality
  • 2 jars of beans (green beans)
  • 4 onions
  • 2 bags of mashed potato powder
  • 1 pinch(s) of salt and pepper
  • some fat
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Meat sausage – green beans – mashed potatoes – onions – assorted

Peel the onions, slice them into rings, and fry them in the pan with the fat. Dice the sausage, add them to the pan with the onions, and fry. Drain the water from the green beans and add the beans to the pan, seasoning with salt and pepper. In a large bowl, make the mashed potatoes according to the package instructions and season with nutmeg. (You can also make mashed potatoes with 12% canned milk, salt, a little butter, a little nutmeg, and about 600g of cooked potatoes. However, this would considerably increase the preparation time.) Pour everything from the pan into the bowl and mix it into the mashed potatoes. You’ve got a delicious, kid-friendly, quick, and inexpensive dish! My father coined the name “Sturm” (storm) because he cooked on a research boat, so he always needed something simple and “weatherproof” on the table that could withstand any storm.
