Pork chop in orange sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 large oranges
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 pork chops
  • 350 ml meat broth
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp crème fraîche
  • some butter (approx. 20g)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Juice one orange, peel the second orange so that all the white pith is removed, then slice it. Heat olive oil and sear the meat on each side. Season with salt and pepper and remove. Wrap in aluminum foil. Now pour 350ml of meat broth and the squeezed orange juice into the pan, add a little salt, pepper, and stir in a little cold butter. Add the honey, orange slices, and crème fraîche, and bring to a boil. If desired, you can thicken it a little more. Place the cutlets in the sauce and heat briefly. Serve with fried potatoes and salad as a side dish.
