Rice with mushroom cream sauce
Since rice is a main ingredient in this dish, you shouldn’t skimp on it; feel free to use basmati rice instead of boil-in-the-bag rice! Cook the rice in salted water. Meanwhile, slice the onion into rings and chop the garlic. Add it to the hot oil in the pan, cover, and fry until the onions are translucent. Drain the mushrooms and reserve the mushroom liquid. Add the mushrooms to the pan and sauté briefly, uncovered. Then season well with granulated stock, salt, pepper, and paprika (or a little more if you like), and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. Now pour in the cream and let it thicken. You can also add some of the mushroom liquid to round out the sauce. Or you can use the mushroom liquid to thin the sauce if you weren’t careful and it’s too thick. Mix in chopped herbs, if desired, and season again. Serve with the rice. By the way, this mush is called that because in a very popular PC game, almost exclusively rice is eaten!
