Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork schnitzels
  • 500 g onion(s)
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 200 ml cream
  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • 250 ml white wine
  • 2 tsp broth, granulated
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 200 g cheese (Gouda), grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the onion and slice into thin rings. Rinse the schnitzel, pat dry, and season with pepper. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the schnitzel. Remove, season with salt, and place in a casserole dish. Fry the onion in the frying fat until golden brown. Mix the cream, crème fraîche, white wine, broth, and garlic salt together in a bowl. Top the schnitzel with the onions and season with salt and pepper. Pour the cream sauce over the schnitzel and sprinkle the cheese over the sauce. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes. Serve the schnitzel with mashed potatoes or a mixed salad.
