Pork steaks with potato gratin

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg potatoes
  • 1 ½ kg pork chop(s), boned
  • 400 g mushrooms
  • 250 ml cream
  • 250 g cheese (Gouda)
  • 200 g peas, frozen
  • 250 ml vegetable stock
  • 200 g flour
  • 200 butter
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 clove(s) garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Boil and peel the potatoes. Slice the meat, season, and fry until golden brown. Halve the mushrooms and fry in the fat, seasoning them. Sauté the finely diced onions and garlic in the fat until golden brown, then sprinkle with flour. Deglaze with the stock and cream and simmer for 5 minutes. Grate the cheese and add 2 tablespoons to the sauce. Layer the potatoes and meat in a greased dish. Spread the mushrooms, peas, and sauce on top and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake at 175°C for approximately 25 minutes.
