Blackberry jam with cinnamon and vanilla

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg blackberries
  • 500 g gelling sugar (2:1)
  • 3 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla flavoring

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Place the blackberries and gelling sugar in a saucepan and slowly bring to a boil. Add the cinnamon and vanilla and boil gently for about three minutes, stirring constantly. Remove the cinnamon sticks. Pour the mixture into twist-off jars while hot, seal tightly, and turn upside down for 10 minutes. Tastes great with waffles or blatz. This makes enough for about four jars and will keep for several months if stored in a cool, dark place.
