Plum and apple jam with a hint of ginger and lemon

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g apples
  • 50 g ginger
  • 1 lemon(s), juice and zest
  • 750 g plum(s)
  • 1 kg gelling sugar 1:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Wash the plums, remove the stones, and cut into small pieces. Peel the apples, remove the cores, and cut them into small pieces, if possible, similar to the size of the plums. Peel and grate the ginger. Add the grated lemon zest and juice. Mix with the preserving sugar and let the mixture sit for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Cook the jam as usual and pour into the prepared jars.
