Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 slice(s) Kasseler, large, raw smoked
  • 2 chops
  • 1 bunch of soup vegetables
  • 8 caraway seeds
  • 3 large carrots, diced
  • 4 potatoes, diced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 large garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 liters of water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cook the smoked pork, chops, and soup vegetables with the bay leaf, a clove of garlic, and the caraway seeds. When the vegetables are mushy and the meat falls away from the bone, drain. Then simmer the clear broth with the carrots, diced potatoes, and the remaining chopped garlic until the potatoes are tender.
