Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g garlic, Chinese
  • 100 g salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

quick to make, lasts up to a year

Peel the garlic and puree it with the salt. Transfer to jars with screw-top lids and cover with olive oil to preserve the garlic. Store in a dark place. After about two days, the mixture will turn greenish due to the salt; this is normal. Store opened jars in the refrigerator. 1/2 teaspoon of the paste is roughly equivalent to one garlic clove. Always add salt to your dishes at the very end. For true garlic fans, this is a delicious side dish for steak.
