Donauwellen cream with fresh cherries and yogurt

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g fresh cherries of your choice
  • 8 tbsp sherry
  • 75 g ladyfingers
  • 250 g sour cream, or créme fraíche
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 50 g sugar
  • 300 g yogurt
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ¼ tbsp powdered sugar
  • Lemon balm for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel, wash, and pit the cherries. Drizzle with sherry. Crumble the ladyfingers. Whisk the sour cream until creamy, gradually adding the vanilla and sugar. Add the yogurt and stir in. Layer the ladyfingers with the cherries and cream in 4 dessert glasses. Mix the cocoa powder with the powdered sugar and dust the cream with it. Serve garnished with lemon balm. Tip: You can also make this dessert with cherries from a jar. Drain them thoroughly.
