Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 liter red wine (Ahrland wine)
  • 3 carnations
  • ½ stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 slice(s) lemon(s), unsprayed, 1 slice of
  • 50 g rock sugar, white

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

according to father’s instructions

Fill a tea strainer with the spices for the mulled wine. Place them in a saucepan along with the lemon slices and red wine and heat—do not let it boil! Once the wine is warm, add the rock candy and dissolve it. Pour into cups and serve. If I want to make a version that children can drink, I replace the red wine with 750 ml of red grape juice with 250 ml of elderberry juice. Otherwise, proceed as for mulled wine.
