Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 750 g minced meat, mixed
- 2 bell peppers, red and yellow
- 1 can of tomatoes, chopped
- 5 gherkins
- 250 g rice
- 2 cups whipped cream
- 200 g cheese (Emmental), grated
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 can of corn
- salt and pepper,
- Paprika powder
- chili powder
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
Fry the ground beef until crumbly, add the diced onion, and sauté. Add the sliced bell pepper, corn, and chopped tomatoes and sauté. Season to taste. Meanwhile, cook the rice. In a large casserole dish, layer half of the ground beef and half of the rice, alternating layers. Pour the cream over the meat and finally sprinkle with the cheese. Cover with a lid or aluminum foil. Bake for 25 minutes at 200°C (400°F) using a fan oven, then uncover and bake for another 10 minutes, until the cheese is nicely browned.
