Burrito Lasagna

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 6 tortillas
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 ½ cup(s) rice
  • 1 pack of tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 packs of cheese, grated
  • 2 onions
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 0.33 jar Jalapeño(s)
  • chili flakes
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • n. B. Nacho(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Chop the onions, garlic, and jalapeños, then sauté them in a pan until translucent. Add the ground beef, season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes, and fry until cooked through. Meanwhile, cook the rice according to the package instructions. Add the rice and tomato puree to the ground beef. Leave on the heat until the tomato puree and rice have combined. Spread a thin layer of the rice and meat mixture on the bottom of the baking dish. Next, add a layer of tortillas. Spread cream cheese on both sides of two tortillas and place them side by side in the baking dish, overlapping them. Then add another layer of rice and ground beef. Spread cheese on top. Now add another layer of tortillas. This time, only spread cream cheese on the top. Then continue with rice, ground beef, cheese, tortilla, rice, ground beef, and cheese. If desired, nachos can also be added to the burrito lasagna. The lasagna then goes back into the oven for another 20 minutes.
