Liver and Apple Slices
The perfect liver and apple slices recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 450 g Pork liver
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 Red Onion
- 2 Tart apples
- 200 ml Gravy
- 200 ml Rama Cremefine 7%
- 2 tablespoon Applesauce
- 2 tablespoon Food starch
- Wash the liver, pat dry and cut into strips.
- Heat some clarified butter in a pan and sear the liver in it, add salt, pepper, remove and keep warm.
- Peel the onions and apples, core the apples and cut into slices.
- Now sauté the onions in the remaining roasting fat, add the apples and sauté briefly.
- Now deglaze with the meat stock and the cremefine and let the sauce reduce.
- Stir in the applesauce and bind with a little mixed cornstarch, you don’t have to be if you want.
- Add the liver again, heat briefly, do not boil.
- Arrange on a plate with some mashed potatoes or a side dish of your choice.
