Snack: Cheese Börek
The perfect snack: cheese börek recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 300 g Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 40 ml Oil
- 100 ml Lukewarm water
- 0,5 Yeast cubes
- 200 g Feta
- Sunflower oil
- Sesame
- Dissolve the yeast in the water. Knead all ingredients into a dough.
- Divide the dough into 4 parts and shape them into balls. Cover and let rise for about 30 minutes.
- Then roll out each ball into a circle with a diameter of approx. 25cm.
- Crumble the goat feta (also known as feta made from sheep’s milk or herder’s cheese made from cow’s milk). Spread a quarter of it over half of a dough circle, leaving the edge free.
- Now fold the second half over it, press down a little and press the edge tightly, then fold over again (quarter) and press the edge back on.
- Fill the other 3 circles in the same way and fold them together. Place all parts on baking paper.
- Brush with oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Place in the cold oven and then bake at 190 ° C for about 30-35 minutes.
