Baked Fried Potatoes

The perfect baked fried potatoes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

fried potatoes

  • 600 g Potatoes
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Leek stick
  • 150 g Cooked ham
  • 2 Gherkins

mustard sauce

  • 20 g Butter
  • 20 g Flour
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 3 teaspoon Mustard
  • 50 g Grated cheese
  • Chives

  1. Peel the potatoes, wash them, cut into slices, pat dry and fry them in a pan with hot oil for about 20 minutes until golden, season with salt, pepper and paprika powder.
  2. Peel the onion into small cubes, clean and wash the leek and cut into rings.
  3. Dice the ham and slice the pickles.
  4. Add everything to the fried potatoes 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time.

mustard sauce

  1. Heat the butter, add the flour and sweat, deglaze with the milk, bring to the boil while stirring and simmer for about 5 minutes
  2. Season with salt, pepper and stir in the mustard.
  3. Now pour the sauce over the fried potatoes, sprinkle with the cheese and put it in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes.
  4. Take the fried potatoes out of the oven, let them rest a little and sprinkle with chives.
  5. If you want, you can serve a salad with it – bon appetit; 🙂
