The perfect michi’s chunky tomato sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 piece Diced onion, white
- 1 piece Diced onion, red
- Some oil to sweat
- 4 piece Medium-Sized tomatoes
- 1 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 piece Red peppers
- 70 g Sugar brown
- 1 pinch Dried marjoram
- 1 pinch Dried thyme
- 1 pinch Chilli powder
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper from the grinder
- 3 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- Cut the tomatoes and peppers into medium to small cubes. Sweat the onions in a little oil. Add brown sugar. Add tomato paste and continue to sweat while stirring. Add tomatoes. Add herbs and spices as well as paprika. Cook for about 15 minutes and then add apple cider vinegar. Cover and simmer for another 10 minutes.
- Goes well with pizza, but also with pasta, etc. Tastes deliciously fruity. We filled the rest into glasses while still hot. I’ll add more pictures next time.
