Vegetable Side Dish: Mushroom and Onion Pan

The perfect vegetable side dish: mushroom and onion pan recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 20 tan Mushrooms
  • 2 piece Cut onions
  • 2 piece My vegetable broth *
  • 30 g Alsan
  • 30 g Ground cubeb pepper
  1. Brush the mushrooms with a vegetable brush and cut into slices.
  2. Heat alsan, a vegetable margarine, in a pan and sauté the onions. Add the mushrooms and stew for a few minutes.
  3. Season the whole thing with pepper and the vegetable broth – I like to use my own vegetable broth instead of salt, it is rich in taste and much healthier … we consume far too much salt without any problems.
  4. This side dish was served with brown rice and a nice colorful salad … you can find it here in my cookbook on Mass 🙂
