Cookies: Orange Talers

The perfect cookies: orange talers recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

the cookies

  • 500 g Flour type 550
  • 50 g Marzipan paste
  • 3 piece Free range eggs
  • 250 g Butter
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 1 Vials Orange aroma
  • 1 tablespoon Bitter orange jam *

  • 2 tablespoon Bitter orange jam *
  • 200 g Powdered sugar
  • 2 cl Grand Marnier

The cookies

  1. Finely grate the marzipan and mix with the flour, eggs, sugar and butter. Add orange flavor and jam and knead carefully. Cover the dough and let it cool for about 1 hour.
  2. Roll small cherry-sized balls out of the dough and place them on a tray lined with foil or paper. Keep distance. Use a wooden spoon to make indentations in the balls.
  3. Bake at 180 degrees with convection in a preheated oven until the cookies have taken on color. They diverge a little and the holes have turned into small pits,

the cast

  1. Mix powdered sugar with Grand Marnier and orange jam and spread this on the hot spots. Let cool and then store in tin cans.
