Mirabelle Plum Liqueur

The perfect mirabelle plum liqueur recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Fresh mirabelle plums
  • 300 g Rock sugar
  • 1 Vanilla pod
  • 0,5 liter Vodka
  1. I got the mirabelle plums from a wild tree in the forest. The taste of the fruit is very intense, so I came up with this idea.
  2. Wash the mirabelles, cut into them and put in a large container (with a clip lock). Sprinkle rock sugar over the top. Slice the vanilla pod, add it and pour vodka over it until everything is covered.
  3. Now patience is called for again, because the whole thing has to take at least 8 – 12 weeks to shake it up again and again.
  4. Filter and pull on beautiful bottles. Bottom up!
