Dessert: Quick Orange Curd on Ladyfingers

The perfect dessert: quick orange curd on ladyfingers recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 12 piece Ladyfingers
  • 2 piece Oranges
  • 250 g Quark
  • 100 ml Cream 30% fat
  • 3 tablespoon Cane sugar
  • 2 sheet Gelatin white
  • 3 cl Cointreau
  1. After the recipe didn’t appear in the “Latest Recipes” section this morning after it was uploaded, and other users couldn’t find it in my KB either, I deleted it again and entered it here again.
  2. Squeeze an orange and mix with the Cointreau.
  3. Layer the ladyfingers in a mold with the sugar side down and soak them with half of the orange juice and Cointreau mixture.
  4. Soak the gelatine in a little cold water, let it swell and dissolve over a low heat.
  5. Peel the second orange so that there is no white skin on it, then cut out the fillets, collecting the juice and cutting the fillets into small pieces.
  6. Whip the cream and mix with the quark, sugar and orange fillet pieces, including the juice.
  7. Stir in the dissolved gelatine and then spread half of the mixture on the first layer of ladyfingers.
  8. Now put another layer of ladyfingers on top, soak them with the rest of the juice and then spread the rest of the quark cream over them. Put in a cool place and sprinkle with cane sugar before serving.
