Bavarian sausage salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g meat sausage without garlic
  • 200 g onion(s)
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp mustard, medium hot
  • 4 tbsp white vinegar
  • 5 tbsp water
  • Salt
  • black pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

First, make a marinade with the vinegar, water, mustard, and oil. Peel the onions and slice them into thin rings. Peel the sausage, slice them, and then cut them into strips. Add it to the marinade along with the onions and season with salt and pepper. Refrigerate the salad for about 30 minutes and let it marinate well. Season again with pepper and salt, if desired, before serving. Serve with buttered brown bread.
