Turkish tea glasses are used as a measure. First prepare the syrup: Boil 3 glasses of sugar and 3.5 glasses of water until well boiled, then add lemon juice and chill. Melt the margarine, mix in the oil, eggs, yogurt, and semolina. Add the baking powder and flour until the dough reaches a soft consistency. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of 5mm. Use a glass to cut out circles and cut them four times at equal intervals with a knife. Place the walnuts in the center and fold them into the shape of a rose – two opposite sides facing inwards and the other two facing outwards. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes. Dip the roses into the syrup while still warm; serve as soon as the syrup has been absorbed.
