Apple Crumble

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg apples, sour, peeled, pitted, cut into large pieces
  • 1 handful of raisins, possibly marinated in rum, Calvados or apple juice
  • 1 handful of almond slivers or coarsely chopped walnuts, toasted
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 300 g oat flakes (small leaf)
  • 300 g flour, white or wholemeal
  • 200 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 200 g sugar, brown or white
  • ½ tsp salt
  • e.g. whipped cream or custard or ice cream

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Preheat the oven to 180°C to 200°C. Place the sliced ​​apples, raisins, and, if desired, almonds or walnuts in a baking dish and sprinkle with a little cinnamon. Knead the remaining ingredients into crumbles and sprinkle evenly into the baking dish. The apples must be completely covered. Bake the dessert in the preheated oven for about half an hour, until the crumbles are golden brown, and serve immediately. It goes perfectly with vanilla sauce or ice cream with whipped cream.
